Summer Themed Party Ideas

Copper Ridge Blog, Liberty, MO Have some fun this summer by hosting a party that goes perfectly with the season. We are sharing a few ideas in today's post.

Welcome back to the Copper Ridge Blog! Summer is a great time to have some fun and enjoy the warm, sunny weather here in Liberty, MO. A great way to embrace the season is to have a summer themed party with friends and family. Scope out local parks in the area to find one that would work well for your party’s needs.

S’mores Bar and Movie Night

Invite friends and family and have the perfect s’mores bar with an outdoor movie. You can purchase an inflatable movie screen and a projector for the perfect outdoor movie. We suggest summer movies such as The Sandlot, The Goonies, The Endless Summer, What About Bob?, Secondhand Lions, and Super 8. Buy the classic s’more options as well as some unique choices. Use chocolate graham crackers or different types of candy bars instead of the traditional graham cracker and chocolate bar.

Tropical Party

Host a tropical party with fresh fruit, party games, and painted pineapples. Make this fresh and delicious rainbow salad as a treat for the party. You’ll need melons, kiwis, berries, pineapples, grapes, and whatever else you’d like. Decorate your party with these fun and easy painted pineapples. Lastly, plan some fun outdoor games or have a limbo contest.

Traditional BBQ with Hot Dog Bar

Grill up your favorite hot dogs and put out some favorite (and unique) toppings for the perfect hot dog bar. Pull out the usual sauces along with a variety of peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, onions, sauerkraut, guacamole, and/or bacon. Make signs with suggested hot dog combinations. There are so many options out there, so be creative!

Ice Cream Soda Bar and Water Games

An Ice Cream Soda bar can be perfect for the Fourth of July or for a hot afternoon with friends. Buy some plastic 18 oz. cups, canned whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, red and blue sodas (Jones soda is perfect and fun for this), maraschino cherries, and utensils. Find a cute bucket and fill it with ice to store the ice cream and sodas. Water games are a great addition to this party idea and a great way to cool off. Have a water balloon relay, play sponge ball dodgeball, or compete in pool volleyball.
